Well, a few hours after I had finished writing the previous version of this section we heard back from Shopify. Bookly is live and ready for action. https://apps.shopify.com/bookly
Launch Plans
We are going to be opening up a limited number of slots each week post public launch. For the first round that is going to be 25 individuals. We will hopefully be able to increase that number but we want to make sure that it is stable for everyone so we will be taking things slowly. This sprint (ending 5/11)
(we run a 2 week development cycle called a sprint)
- The import functionality is well underway. In combination with the template the app will allow you to import writeups, host data, and reviews from both Airbnb & VRBO. This will allow you to get up and running very quickly. We are looking forward to doing some time trials!
- The PriceLabs integration will get started this sprint but we don't expect it to be complete until at least the next sprint (5/25).
- The tax functionality should be wrapping up in a few days.
Bookly Website Template
Last week we wrapped up the privacy policy and terms of service that all template customers get. This week we complete the guest agreement draft, house rules, & cancellation policy options. We are having our lawyer review the guest agreement so that it is a solid base for everyone that uses it.
